Ultimate Dodgeball (Free-for-All)
Every player for themselves, and nobody stays out for long.
10–60 players · about 15 minutes · Run around · Gym, Outdoors, Big room
What you need
- 6–10 soft foam dodgeballs
Setup
Spread the balls across the middle of the floor. Everyone starts on the walls.
How to play
- On "Go!" everyone rushes in. There are no teams: anyone can throw at anyone.
- If you get hit below the shoulders, sit down where you are. Remember who got you out.
- When the person who got you out is hit, you jump back in.
- Catch a throw and the thrower is out, and you can let one player of your choice back in.
- You can only take three steps while holding a ball.
How to win
Last person standing wins. Because players keep coming back, rounds can swing wildly. That's the fun.
Leader tips
- Add a ball for every 5–6 players.
- Seated players can block a ball rolling by, but can't throw.
- Call a 3-minute time limit if a round drags.
Safety: Use soft foam balls only. Head shots don't count, and the thrower sits out the next hit for one.

Two-Ball Bonus
Throw a special colored ball into the game. Anyone hit by it is out for real until the next round.
Tie it to your lesson
In this game you get back in when the one who took you out goes down. In the gospel, Jesus took the hit himself so you could be brought back in for good.
