Spoons
A fast card game where the spoons vanish the instant someone grabs one.
4–12 players · about 15 minutes · Medium energy · Small room, Big room
What you need
- A deck of cards
- Spoons (one fewer than the number of players)
Setup
Sit around a table with the spoons in the middle. Deal each player four cards.
How to play
- The dealer draws a card and passes one card to the left, keeping four. Everyone passes left at the same time.
- When you get four of a kind, quietly grab a spoon.
- As soon as anyone grabs a spoon, everyone else grabs one too.
- The player without a spoon gets a letter: S, P, O, O, N.
How to win
Spell SPOON and you're out. The last player in wins.
Safety: Play on a table, not a pile-up. No diving across the table.
