10–300 players · about 10 minutes · Medium energy · Small room, Big room, Gym, Outdoors

What you need

Setup

Everyone finds a partner.

How to play

  1. Partners play rock, paper, scissors (best of one, or best of three).
  2. The loser becomes the winner's cheerleader, follows them around, and chants their name.
  3. Winners find another winner and play again. Their cheerleaders come with them.
  4. The crowds behind each player keep growing until there are just two left with the whole room screaming for them.

How to win

The last player standing is champion.

Evolution

Everyone starts as an "egg" (squatting). Win and you evolve to chicken (flapping), then dinosaur, then human. You can only play people at your same level.

Tie it to your lesson

Like the crowd behind each player, we have "a great cloud of witnesses" cheering us on as we run our race.
