Doctor Dodgeball
Each team has a secret doctor who can heal. Find theirs, protect yours.
12–60 players · about 15 minutes · Run around · Gym, Outdoors, Big room
What you need
- 6–10 soft foam dodgeballs
- A center line (tape or cones)
Setup
Split into two teams, one on each side of the line. Each team secretly chooses one "doctor" without telling the other team.
How to play
- Play regular dodgeball: hit an opponent below the shoulders and they sit down where they were hit.
- The doctor can heal a teammate by tagging them. Healed players jump right back in.
- If the doctor gets hit, they're out, and nobody on that team can be healed anymore.
- Teams try to figure out who the other doctor is and take them out first.
How to win
The team that gets every opposing player out wins.
Leader tips
- Good doctors heal quietly. If you heal too fast, everyone knows it's you.
- Have two doctors per team for big groups.
Safety: Soft foam balls only, and no head shots.
Ways to change it up
Hospital
Hit players walk to a "hospital" mat at the back where the doctor can heal them more safely, but slowly.
Tie it to your lesson
"It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." Jesus came for people who know they've been hit.
