Prayer requests
When you send a prayer request, we keep your first name (only if you give one) and what you wrote. Requests are stored privately on our own server, are seen only by the people who pray for them, and are never emailed, published, shared, or sold.
Every request is deleted automatically after 180 days. To spam-proof the form, we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address for one hour; the address itself is never stored with your request.
Want a request removed sooner? Send another request saying so, with the same first name and a few words from the original, and we will delete it.
Saved on your device, not on ours
Favorites, lists, WordWell boards and their reflections, Kids Zone names and stars, the people you pray for in My One, and your settings are saved in your own browser. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser’s data erases them, which is why WordWell lets you download a backup file.
A WordWell share link carries the board inside the link itself, so it is not stored on our server. Your reflections are never included in share links.
When you type your name into a verse (like Isaiah 53:5 “for you”), it stays on the page and is never saved or sent.
Cookies
We don’t use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The only cookie this site sets is a login cookie for the people who manage the site. Cloudflare (see below) may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from attacking bots. Because we don’t track you, there is no cookie banner to click through.
Services that help run the site
- Cloudflare delivers the site quickly and protects it from attacks. Like any network, it handles your internet address to send you pages.
- Our web server keeps standard logs (internet address, page requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. They are deleted after about two weeks.
- YouTube video thumbnails load from YouTube, and a video plays through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only when you press play.
- API.Bible when you choose a licensed translation such as the CSB or NLT, its license requires us to report that the text was shown. Your browser sends that report with a random code that doesn’t identify you.
- Crossway (ESV) when you read the ESV, our server fetches the text. Your information isn’t sent to Crossway.
- Bible Gateway only if you tap a “compare on Bible Gateway” link, which opens their site.
Children
The Kids Zone doesn’t ask children for any information that leaves the device: names and stars stay in the browser. The Kids Zone doesn’t link to the prayer form. Parents, if your child wants to send a prayer request, please help them, and leave out last names and other personal details.
What we never do
We don’t show ads, sell or rent information, build profiles of visitors, or use your information for anything other than praying for you and running this site.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
